Brian Carlsness Named Rockford Corporation

Tempe, Ariz. - Rockford Corporation is pleased to announce that Brian Carlsness has been named Managing Director – Home Audio. In his new position, Carlsness will be responsible for all home theater efforts under the Fosgate Audionics and MB Quart brand names and will report to Dan McLeod, Rockford’s Vice President – Sales & Product Development.

“With my many years of experience in the home audio market as well as my years of managerial sales experience for one of the largest audio companies in the world, I am very happy to be back to my roots,” explains Carlsness, who moves over from the Rockford Fosgate mobile audio division where he was, most recently, national sales manager. “With the backing of Rockford’s worldwide resources, including multiple manufacturing and engineering facilities in the United States and Germany, and the corporation’s commitment to home theater audio, we have the backbone to become a major player in the home theater market. I am looking forward to helping market our world class Fosgate Audionics electronics and MB Quart speaker systems.”

Fosgate Audionics, a product development and engineering company created by industry legend Jim Fosgate, was acquired by Rockford Corporation in 2000. Mr. Fosgate continues to work with Rockford as an engineering consultant. MB Quart, a Germany-based audio company, was acquired by Rockford Corporation in 2001.

“Brian has extensive prior experience with home audio and will be the focal point for all our home efforts,” explains Gary Suttle, President and CEO for Rockford Corporation. “With Fosgate Audionics beginning to make a strong name for itself in the marketplace as well as the acquisition of MB Quart a year ago, we needed someone with considerable knowledge of the home theater market and consumer audio sales.
